Thats how to fix a large gouge or scratch, use Gel coat paste, squeege it smooth with wax paper on top, then if needed spray for final sanding, allot of times you don't even need to spray.

Good Job.....Hows the GF? ( No, I meant after the car accident)

water discharge.

Get rid of the water pump on the motor, that ugly thermostat housing.Put a cross over tube where the pump was. Take the input water from the out drive put it on the one fitting on the cross over then put a splitter for two hoses where the thermostat housing was and run one hose to each header. It is so much cleaner and you get rid of that ugly pump. JOHN c&p marine or harden marine have this stuff. If you can't quit those headers down I'm interested in them. Thanks JOHN

Can you post a picture of what you are talking about? I'm getting more of an idea, but you know what they say about a picture being a thousand words and all that.

Look on stainless Marines website at the cross-overs, then you'll get the jist of what he's talking about.

Excellent job. It's great to see an old boat brought back to life. Nice work.

Darrell.

So I'm getting stuck on the wiring. It originally had an ammeter, but I have a voltmeter in it now. Can someone provide a basic wiring diagram of a boat with a volt meter? Which wire runs to the BATT part on the ignition switch? The solid red wire from the starter terminal? Or the red and white wire that comes off the alternator?
