I don't see 'Ghost' in that ad? K & K Ghost were made in Island Park, NY. |
That certainly does not look like a Ghost.
Like Stormrider said, K&K from long Island built the Ghost boats. Maybe this is a different K&K. |

The K&K Ghost outboard boat raced by Ken Kalibat in 1983/1984 was a smokin hull. I believe they were the old "V" class Champion's then.:drink:

There is a serious rumor that they have taken the old boat out of storage...... and are getting it ready for this weekend's Don Aronow Memorial Around Long Island 271 mile race.

Still lots of them running around long island i think they made 23,28 and i know they custom built a 30..real shame not still building them because boats ran real good..as you can see from that video..

It's now in Sweden I now have a 1981 Pantera 24 I'm restoring. Below is a pic of it back in the mid 80's, it was a back up boat for DamnManta racing team B-87 and a pic as she sits now before the resto.

...ttt...me want more...

My family owned the 2 31's that they built. One was set of fire by thief's the second was sold in 1999-2000. That hull i believe is in Florida no. If my memory serves me correct that boat with twin 250 did about 73mph.
|
Great Boats ..sort of cult following here on LI..they tore up the water ways here...always felt they copied, but improved on a glasstron(just my opinion) but if you find one BUY IT!! ..they haul
|
Ok.. Guess I took my own advice.. Found a 28 and bought it .. Sitting in my driveway,, time to get to work..
|
Congratulations! Have any photo's? Want to sell it? :D

I used to own what was rumored to be the first consumer 23 Ghost. Belonged to a dear friend of mine in Baldwin, NY before I got it.
Boat ran very strong. 75mph with a 200 Merc. Was rumored to be based on the old Glastron Carlson CV23 but modified by K & K. Excellent boats that ran very well in the rough water. Love the picture of the K & K boys racing the 23. |
That is correct. Glastron dealer in the 70's an the bottom was from a glastron.
23 Low Decks with stock 2.4L 200 ran 72 23 High Decks with stock 2.4L 200 runs 69 28's with 200's run 70-72 28's with 250 OX66 run 77-78 31 with 250 OX66 runs 74 (there was 2 made but only 1 left now and K+K finally owns it formerly know as "King Cole") |
I owned the orange 23 low deck back in the 90's known as Sheer Terror. Saw 78mph with a 2.4efi. I had replaced the plywood floor with a foam sandwich floor and cut up the rounds on the outsr transom to fit k planes. Lightening it up got me to 80 but never really needed the tabs. Boat still runs toxay with a merc 280.

Listed in Long Island, located in California... Not mine, these boats just interest me. If somebody from the Great Lakes buys it, I call shotgun!
