Here are the mockup engine vents to replace the original. They are contoured to follow the curve of the deck. The originals were to boxy and didn't fit the lines of the boat. I had the frames water jetted out of stainless and will fit perforated stainless material inside them.

Hard to believe it's the same Bertram I saw in the weeds in Harrison Twp Michigan. I found my Magnum in that same grave yard.

The original 292 engines are going to be used. They only had 170 original hours but have been completly redone. They should be close 275 to 300 hp with the mods that have been done. Not real big numbers but a big improvement above the original 200 hp stock.

Great to see that you are using the GMC six's, it had it's own cool sound back in the day on Lake St Clair.

I'm hoping to use the original type 2 mercruiser "Rock Crusher" outdrives aswell. When I bought the boat I was told they were in perfect shape but after a little inspection they will need some minor work. I bought an extra outdrive to use for spare parts as most of the parts are not produced anymore.

I'm a little undecided about the windshield. I've been playing around with some old school chriscraft brackets but I can't seem to find ones with the correct angle. I looked into having an original style windshield built but for the cost of a new one I think I can come up with something much better with more style. I'm shooting for a mix of the classic chris craft / garwood runabout with sleek mordern styling. All of the deck hardware is going to be flush mount pop-up style.
