Wow! I love your boat- its a true thing of beauty. It was also fun watching your progress. I've done a few restorations but none to the level that you did here. Enjoy and great job!

Wow beautiful restoration, where will it be running?

In all honesty the boat hardly gets off the trailer. Most of its time was spent on the lake at our summer camp here in Maine. However the boat is way to big for our 7 mile lake. We did take a couple trips down the river to Boothbay Harbor and out in the open ocean to have some fun in the rough water but it tough finding time. Hopefully next year it gets more use.

captaintyler,

Your boat Sir is a class act, both an inspiration and an example of how it should be done.

Beautiful work.

Bertram Barn Value

We have just taken our Bertram out of winter storage. The way things are looking it doesn't look like it will get much use this summer. I've been contemplating putting it up for sale but I'm not really sure what its value would be. I guess its worth what someone will pay. You never see the Baron 28's for sale so there are no good comparable boats to set the price. I've seen some similar style boats from the same era for sale but they don't have the built quality as a Bertram or the customization that I have put into my boat. What would be a reasonable asking price and the best way to advertise it as I'm sure it will not sell locally up here in Maine. I'm open to suggestions.

Hate to hear your putting it up for sale, but someone will love owning this beauty. Good luck finding her a new home.

Does anyone have any input on what to value this boat at?

Amazing job!

I don't really know how applicable this is given the condition she is in today, but at least it is some kind of starting point. Bristol would be an insult to your boat in my opinion.
