36' Cig Tequila Sunrise

Afternoon fellas, does anyone have any information/history/etc.. on the 36' Cigarette Tequila Sunrise that raced down in Puerto Rico in the late 80's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyYb_...eature=related

It's still down there last I heard. It's on the side of a house rotting away without power. I saw an ad for it about a year ago.

Thanks. yeah, I saw it; thats kinda why I asked. It's probably soaked but I'd like to know a little about it...

What is the VIN number on the transom? It looks like it had side by side engines, which means it had no historic racing in it's past. By getting the VIN number, at least we have the year built. Maybe we can track it that way.

Dang, well more ponys never hurt anyone :coolcowboy:
except the old checkbook.. Really though, the man who currently owns the boat raced it under the Tequila Sunrise name in the late 80's down here so I'm looking forward to his story.. I'm at work right now and the companys IT dept put a blocker on youtube but I'd post footage I found yesterday if I could.
What are the odds of the boat being numbered 49 and these quotes I found over on donzi.net?

"The first Cigarette built using Kevlar 49 was the 1977 Cigarette 39' 'Powerboat Magazine Special' and the very first offshore race boat built using Kevlar 49 was Larry Smith's Scarab 9 Meter 'Wyld One' for Australian Kevin Wyld in 1975. "

"I honestly don't know of hardly any other Cigarette built Kevlar 49 boats from the 1977 year, when Don also stopped building raceboats period, with a few endurance record setting competition boats as exceptions."
