Already cleaned, the boats on a cradle and cables are loose. Taking this time to learn how to fiberglass.

Carpet or Gel for the interior floor?

I think I've basically decided to keep the cabin bare, no floors at all and add a bulkhead. Do you think a tunnel tab or ballast tank would work better? Any suggestions are always welcome.

UPDATE!!

November 5th and 6th

Saturday, Got a fairly early start with two goals in mind. Find the rest of the bad wood (almost done) and remove transom.

Started cutting more of the old floors, bad spots in bulkheads, etc..Eventually got going on the transom. Hooked up my "rig" to supply slight upward pressure for a little assistance while cutting the glass holding the deck and hull together. After getting it split I had my friend come by to help me unhook and lower the rear 4 ft. Started getting a feel for ho bad removing the wood/sawdust/glass combo that attempted to resemble a transom. Got dark and cold so we called it a night.

Sunday, Had to be at work @ 6:20 am. Didn't get started until about 4pm. It quickly got dark so I pulled out the "big" light. I was determined to at least get the wood out of the transom so I can get the rear back together ASAP. With the help of two friends, I'm left with about 5% and a lot of grinding to go. Got down to 34 degrees before I headed in. Hoping to get the 3/16" outer shell/glass ground down and ready for some wood in the next week or so. I just need to pick up another set of filter for the respirator.

Any suggestions anyone?

Great work so far.... It is not easy but, enjoy the ride.... It always takes longer than one thinks... But, for your case, your making good headway!

Wow!!! Great job man! That looks like a lot of work. Did you cut the deck up to get to the transom or does it come apart that way?

Bad idea. This thing is never going to be a "race" boat, so who cares if you lose 5-10mph if you can fit way more babes in it? As long as it looks badass they will flock.

Haven't decided whether to buy a lake boat and use this for poker runs only or to finish it 100% when I get the extra money. Cabin have their pros.

Update.. Made my first glass order today. $500 and that's only the beginning. There's a place in Ohio that is selling (25) 24" x 48" Baltek cores for $300 which will be my next purchase. Just need to find some extra money.
