Thought you old Formula fans might want to see this, I was looking the Detroit Metro Craigslist and seen this. It is a 1980 233 that has been rack stored since new. Link below

That is soo sweet. Sprink I hope it checks out. Great price. I really hope you get it. Thate is the needle the in the haystack.

One of the last of a rare breed. At that price it is an absolute steal. I'm partial to the color, too.

Sprink, you gotta admit, that Interceptor would look darn nice sitting next to the Liberator.

I think this video speaks volumes about first boat ownership experience.

When you do get out there, it will just be that much sweeter.

To quote an oft-used nautical phrase:

"Believe me, my young friend, there is NOTHING--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats".

Words to live by.

233 w/twins

Guys, I wrote this ad and placed in on CL for the seller (retired widow of owner). I don't know anything more than what the ad says, other than she plans to go to the marina in the next couple days and ask them to take some pics (she doesn't own a digital camera). Note that it does not have a trailer. I haven't seen the boat, and everything I know is in the ad. I found out about this one through a guy on the 233 Registry, but after more thought about why the F3 won't permanently reside in our stable, I decided that we need to go bigger. After talking with her I realized that she knows nothing about placing an ad, much less on the internet, so I decided to help her out. The lady is very nice and quite unfamiliar with boats (her late husband was the expert/fanatic), so she won't know much more than what's in the ad. Once she gets the digital pics and sends them to me (she has to use the local library computer), I'll post them, hopefully by Thursday. I wonder if this will remain a fresh water boat or be sentenced to the brine nasty?

I'd like to think that, on the whole, these older boats usually end up in the care of someone who appreciates them. I would think this doubly so in the case of a 233 being that it is revered by so many.

Sideskraft thats very nice of you. Be sure to share the digitals when you have them. I'm very interested and looking for some references for my 233 restore.

Does anyone know who currently hold the title for most power in a 233 with twins? I been looking around and I can't find anyone with more then twin 260s. I think there was a guy by the name of Resurrected that was building a 233 hotrod. Anyone heard of him?
