Yeah your right about putting a high-performance boat in the hands of Gov't employees. Who's kidding who first they will run the thing for hours and hours, far more then any recreational boat could ever see. Then there's the bull**** they make out of the need to have the boats to begin with the need to intercept a high speed drug laden boat is fantasy island when it comes down to the odds.
I went ballistic on a recent capture/sinking of a semi-submersible drug boat, the crew scuttled it and it took the Gov't three months to find the remains it happened south of Brazil. You think with all the tech and crap we give the clowns in officers cloths they could follow the SOB north toward US Waters rather then sink it a couple thousand miles south? I'd think a slow moving semi-submersible drug boat would make a hell of a practice lesson for everyone including the boats and communications equip that supposedly woulld take it to US shores
