For Elswicks 39' Long Shot, Performer took a Cig hull (35' I think) and added that raised last 4' at the transom. That mold went back to Cig (or Halter) then the original Donor hull they used probably became the Performer 36'. I worked at Performer (from 1990-95) , But then they only made 24' cuddys and 32' Sport Fish type. (Both Donzi Variants)

I knew you boys would come up with something. Now, who can dig up an old race pic?

I have a race picture, but it is of a Performer 36. That boat has the same look as the Cigarette 40 with the lifted rear rubrail and deck.

Performer was Bill Elswick's company and they made several style boats, one looked like a takeoff of the old Donzi 28.

Nope not the owner but it showed up on a buddy of mines lot in Texas and the owners don't know a thing about it. Wanted to get him some info so they can value it. My bro said it looks like a power play and I noticed the hull did but deck was a little different. I still have to finish my Sutphen before I tackle any more projects. It can probably be had very cheap if anyone is interested let me know.

There was 2 long shots one built by cigarette ,the second
Bill Ellswick, Dave Fox and Lindsey Pierre rented or borrowed the 39 mold and built the second one. The one built by bill, Dave and Lindsey had the cockpit further aft than the one built by cigarette and laid up different. It's funny this conversation has come up now, I just had Dave fox work on my boat and he told me this story, I had thought cigarette built both.

It was suggested that this could be the rolling thunder cobra performer but I think that one was a side by side and this one is most definitely staggered. There is however a blue stripe in the middle of the dash outlined in a red pinstripe and the transom is still red with possible black paint under that. Any ideas?
