early ones had windshield, lots of teak in cabin, floors and dash, vents on sides of bow...
later model after 84 had aluminum windscreen , less teak, liner cabin, to me the 84-86 are much more cooler looking... thats me though..

The 35 Mistress was first introduced in 1977 and was only produced under the Mistress name for three years until 1979. In 1979 Don sold Cigarette and in 1980 the Mistress name was dropped and the 35 became the 35/OS for the years 1980 - 1982. From 1983 - 1986 the 35 was named the 35L/OS or the 35S/OS (different options). In 1987 - 1988 the 35 went back to the 35/OS and was dropped from the line after 1988. The Mistress model name appeared again from 2003 - 2004 and was dropped again.

I think subtly it comes down to
You want drama and turning heads you get the KV
you want classic style with timeless class go the mistress
bit like comparing a muscle car to a ferrari or jaguar XKE
Cant go wrong nice problem to have!
