I raced with ironhead & his dad in their 33' Image cat [MOTOR CITY MAGIC]. Back in 1987 she ran around 115 mph in the APBA modified class with 366cu smallblocks, I loved that cat.

I love the looks of this boat and was seriously considering it when for sale in Florida around 2002. Back then the rear seat configuration was not a bench but two seats facing each other from the gunwales. Neat boat. Have fun!

H2OBoater was Motor City Magic a early 12' wide Active Hull?

It belonged to a guy named Steve from Naples, Fl for quite a while. I believe he is still around the area and his business is called Shoreline Flooring.

GTOKiller we ran speed III merc drives & crash boxes with I believe 1.68 gears. The props were big but we had a hard time breaking them lose to get on plane, venting the prop on start up was still a very new idea back then. |
Looks fun!!
Im searching around OSO right now trying to figure out what to change on my boat. It had bravos 1.50 with 26 pitch 4 blades on it, I did not know how to get it on plane??? two people & a small tool bad about 50 gallons per tank. tried different trim positions, baby the throttles & blowout at about 3300 every time. Keep in mind I've never had a cat before. came from a 28 Baja sport w/ twin bbc's I changed to a set of 3 blade 25's did way better but still tough to get on plane. Any suggestions for a new cat owner?? haha |
