The yellow Velocity was joined by our white 1996 twin engined Velocity (later converted to a single engine boat with an Express engine) to help with the corporate effort.

The yellow Velocity did indeed have an Express engine as did the Cougar. Bruce and John at Express built a number of engines for us and were always a pleasure to work with. I currently have an Express engine in my little Excalibur 24 here in Virginia.

The Cougar had a slight mishap in the Cowes 2003 race. It clipped the bow of an anchored sailboat as the driver had been rendered unconscious due to a broken header which had filled the canopy with carbon monoxide. It was repaired and did one more race before being sold to a Finnish team that raced it in the 2004 ProVee series.
