Hate to venture off topic - but you mentioned at the initial post that Mr. Adams got shot due to crossing someone... Was Tommy Adams involved in any of the smuggling stuff going on back then (or at least is it known that he was) or was this just a situation where he plain old got shot....?
Thanks.. |

Very interesting reading about the Signature history. I know of a 1976 27' red and white one with a single BBC bow tie motor that ran in Northport, NY on Long island. Beautiful lines, ran around 70-72 mph I recall and would cut through the waves like butter. It has been changed over to a twin outboard setup over the years and is now white. I seem to recall being told it was a heavy layup in those days so to go fast they needed alot of HP.
After reading thru here I'm wondering if it is really a 'Signature' boat or perhaps really a Magnum hull with the Signature name. |
DNelson, the 27 Signature was spalshed from the 27 Magnum botttom,. A new deck was designed, hence=27 Signature.

Mark those headers dumping to the sides of the Signature27 look really cool and must have been pretty loud to........is that strictly race or could that ever work in a pleasure setup?
