There is an ass for every saddle. I'm sure the price is driven by the money recently spent on the engines and other "boat related" expenses we all know to well.
There may be a bank lien in need of satisfying or maybe he doesn't want to sell it but can't find a way to explain that to the Mrs. Hence the phrase "I have it for sale honey".
Whatever the case it looks like a nice fresh water boat for a guy who has 200k and really wants a 50 meteor.

agree 100%, it does look nice. I'd love to fill that thing full of people and pimp it to put-in-bay every weekend, and I know it would ride great on lake erie too, but at that $$ just don't see it happening. sweet old wellcraft though.

The guy that owned Buckshot did have a lot of money. He owned a cosmetics company that made Afrosheen, among other things. It had 3 blower motors in it back then.

Always remember that the price can always go down.......they never go up. Maybe he was fishing for a guy who has enough money that the price wouldn't matter.

Make an offer based on what you have to spend and see what happens. With these old boats cash in truly king and if nothing else you find out if it's for sale or not.

Btw, I agree 50' of scarab is a near perfect sled for that nasty body of water......man that bastard can get rough!
