How long have the 600 series drives been around? The 540 military applications were not using the 440 engine. The 540s have lived behind the 370s though

The 600 series has been out for about 3 yrs now. It's an entirely different unit compared to the 500 series. Holds 13 qts of lube, large shafts/gears/bearings. For an application such as this, the 660 Twin Prop would work very well. - The Indonesian Navy is running them on their new fleet of 36' Combat Cats, 450hp MDS (Duramax) power with Velvet Drive L-H transmissions. I spent some time over there last fall doing sea trials, Planes instantly with the twin props.

Nice to hear that have come out with a better drive. Are they still using the heavy cv shafts or are they going to a normal style drive shaft?

Not a chance with the TRS. You are better off selling them as running units. They still have value.

So you really have (3) choices Konrad 600 or 660's or Arneson's. If you not looking for all out top speed the Konrads are a great choice. If your looking for alittle more top end performance I think the Arnesons are a better choice.

I currently have no gearboxes, I was loathed to go hunting until I have the drives sorted out.

Ok, has anyone had any real time experience with the Konrads? Their UK agent does not seem to want to offer any information at all on this product, if the product is anything like the service I would not bother with Konrad!

We can supply you with the correct Arneson Surface Drive for your application and you will not have any drive problems....

Who's Duramax's are they using over there?
Just curious, I'm waiting for Innovation to get back on their program.
