I have the boat (Nova 24 race boat) I just wish I could afford the motors to run like that. I say motors because you know they don't last long running flat out for hours at a time.
Great vid!

Salty - that was a 32 out of the 36 mold. The boat was rigged with Small Blocks and Arneson Drives. Their first race was the Holiday Isle 100 that I Co-chaired with Vic Speilberg... Sept 1984. If I recall all three of those guys where thrown from that boat on a turn.

Yes that's the day , I think Danger Zone and Man O War also ran that day. There was another race at Tiki Bar that a Scorpion crashed and a guy nicknamed "campana" died I recall.

The Silver Streak Mirage from Lake St Clair had staggered small block Chevy's just like the Wolverine, unfortunately I lost track of this cool boat. I wonder where it is today ??????

Man O War with Randy Sosa was in that race ('84). Campana (the owner of Condor) stuffed and was killed in a 32' Scorpion a few years later. Felix, the guy who took over Condor, was in the boat also. Carlos Capia was running a 32' Scorpion flat deck called "Risky Business" with triple 200 mercurys on Gil Brackets. That boat fell off the trailer on an off ramp on the 826 that year and was nearly destroyed. Danger Zone with Carlos ran in 86. I came in 2nd to him in "Karateka" a 30' Carrera - the old "Country Boys" boat.

Pete's a great guy. The original "Miami's Best" was a 32' Signature - before the 34' Coyote. I remember "No Problem." Don't know if they were the same boat.
