Those are pretty much my colors. I've been looking at a lot of boats for designs and have many to chose from. Still haven't decided if I should stay with the double bolster drivers seat or switch to singles... So whats the status on your Scorpion, have you been working or finished it yet?

Happy New year! It's hopefully going to be the year of the Scorpion for us!!!

I have to build the engine, a few other parts are needed. Then do some minor work on the floor in the bilge, and re-paint. Debating on doing the interior, it only make sense to do it now. Been busy with other things but I need this boat in the water,,,It's killing me seeing it sit! I'm going to update my thread soon.
Your cabin door is on the port side not centered right? If it is, my thought would be to stay with the double bolster seat set up.

Happy New Year!!! Yes cuddy doors set off to the left of center not all the way to the left. I have seen some with singles and double seats. I think I'm going to keep what I have for now. Post up a pic of the Scorpion I want to check out the hull.

How does it perform with the single big block compared to the twin small blocks?
I have an '88 260 and thought about doing the same thing if I ever need to do any major engine work to it.
Are there any pictures of your boat on Hans site?

Hey instagator, I talked to you some a while back. I have an all red 89 baja 250 and I redid my interior last season, I went with red, black and grey, it turned out great. I'll send you some pics if you want to pm me you # or email. Or im just in Daytona if you want to ride over some time and check it out. We'll have to do a Glenn run some time when things warm up. We just did the toys for tots run in palatka a few weeks ago, that was a blast.

Bowtie I would love to see some pics of your Baja. I live in Orange City I went to the Glen this weekend (Sat). It was packed for January. I think it was about 80* Saturday. We definitely have to get together up there. I'm looking at being there for Memorial weekend for sure. Have to stay in touch and make it happen. I'll PM you my email to send some pics to.Also who did your upholstery? Also CC230 is in Kissimmee and has a 230 Scorpion. I'm trying get him out to the Glenn Memorial weekend as well.

Cajun, I lost a lot of weight and speed by converting from twin SBC to a single BBC. I am still working with props and timing trying to recover some speed. I'm only getting 46 mph @ 4200 rpm's.

Thanks, I'm getting a late start on the interior due to not storing her for the winter. Got to love our crazy weather...

Gator, I'm hoping to have the engine running on a stand by the middle of Feb at the latest. Then hopefully the interior goes as planned and on time.
Pushing hard for Memorial Day!
