It was found by a friend sitting in a boat yard rotting away. He bought it assuming a good winter project for a good price. After getting it home and taking a closer look at some of the rigging and set up that was done was when our wheels started spinning. It was converted to a pleasure boat with some basic interior. Still with the original colors on it but no name on the side, if you still look closely from the side you can see the impressions from the old decals on the side etched into the gel coat.

yes, my father currently owns it. the boat was raced in long island for ocean outboard in 1986 as “b-75” and to my knowledge it was then in possession of shapiro who raced it on the west coast as “b-76” (Waterheater) . The boat was practically abandoned , sitting in long island where it came from originally. we have done a full restore on it and it has been back in the water for over a year now back in long island. feel free to ask any questions
I’m Blake shapiro, Alan Shapiro’s son. So happy to see that boats still in the water. That boat had a lot of wins. Any chance your dad wants to sell it?
