I spent last night reading what I could find on the internet with regards to what You have done in the automotive world Shaun. To sum it up I salute You for being driven by passion, not just for the technical aspects of old NASCAR, IMSA etc., but for the history surrounding the sports. You showed a keen interest for the people that were involved back then and Your undertakings clearly proved that it was out of the respect for those individuals and what they had accomplished that You kept at it.

From what I gathered, I'm 100 percent convinced that You are trying Your outmost to make sure these historical powerboat racing parts ends up in the right hands. Not so much to make sure that You get every penny these parts may be worth, but that they end up where they are treasured for what they are and that they will come to good use and honor the legacy that Mr. Gentry left to the performance boat aficionados.

It will be the hours logged by folks running their boats fit with these parts and the friendships made while they improve on their crafts that matter. I personally don't know Carson Brummett. Neither have I been to his shop. The only thing I know for a fact is that anytime his name is mentioned in boaters' circles, adjectives like; kind, helpful, honorable, knowledgeable, trustworthy keeps being spoken. His late father Lou Brummett was a living legend, but Carson has created his own legacy and is the one that Mr. Gentry chose to carry on his finding with marine turbo engines. Like mentioned, Carson got to buy all the manufacturing molds from Mr. Gentry and has from then on continued to develop the marine turbo engine technology, but also been the guru that boaters with turbo motors got help from to run what they had. I end it here Shaun, You got the drift.

I'm glad You are the one that ended up with these containers Shaun. Enjoy the project. Mr. Gentry would have been happy to see You handle this for him.

Cheers, Lars.

Really interesting stuff! Any links to some Gentry Eagle threads on here that might make good reading for Shaun and the rest of us as well?

Not completely on the topic but was a interesting read...at least for me. Made me wonder where those four 7,400-hp Allison M62 turbines are now. Maybe in one of Shaun's containers?

MikeT you are a tough man to please I must say Here are some photos my crew chief took today at the shop. I have no idea what some of this stuff is maybe you guys do. I do know these are the SBC's and some other misc. stuff. These photos are taken from the very front of one of the containers the first 12' and from a shelf in the shop.

The BBC is going to be tore down starting tomorrow to see what all was used to put it together (taking the pan, valve covers off and the intake manifold) I'll have pics of that tomorrow.

Back to MikeT for just a second; seriously dude I'm not sure what one needs to do to prove who someone is to you but I am Shaun Coleman, and the only reason I'm going out of my way is that you kinda miffed me making it seem like I'm not who I say I am. Now lets drop the subject and move on ok? . Anyways... I'll post more stuff as we go through it if you know what something is please give a shout.

Crew chief was being funny with the USA Today, todays news paper BTW and a photo of my Impala (from my facebook page) since some of you guys (or is it just MikeT) aren't believing me.
