I had the pleasure of talking with Julio (the original boat builder of Scorpion ) over the Christmas holiday and he said he named the company Scorpion because of his daughter Astrological sign.! ..pretty cool !
I like that boat a lot. I remember it on ebay i think. Hell of a deal!

As far as the vents, I would use sheet aluminum 3/16, punch your vent holes or slots and powdercoat.
You could do that same work with some Coosa Board and like Todd said, you'd save 2/3 the weight and have very stiff, Light hatches that wont rot. You did nice work there !! Keep it Up

True. The midnight is heavier. I want to run at 3500-4000. Was thinking on a pair of 540s aspirated or stroked 502s. We also had a convo with joe corretti on a pair of 800s. Running in salt water obviously, so Heat Exchangers are also a must.

For vents, see post #128/129 on page 5 of this threat.
Actually, this thread is one of the nicest rehabs I've ever seen done.

Prepping the cabin entrance to mock up the tambour doors. They arrive on Monday. Will be an interesting installation.
