i always liked these boats ,there was a red and white one with volvo drives docked next to us in Belle River ,Ontario Canada when I was growing up in early 80's

What are the cutouts on the rear deck for? They almost look like they were cut for clearance of exhaust from a single big block? Is it possible this was a single at one time? From this pic the stringers don't look original either?

This Aero was never a single. It was the KWIXOTIC pictured here with twin Stern Power drives.

Yes Klem sold many with a single but not this one. If you bought a blank hull from him & rigged it yourself they were just OK. Many of the NEW boats he sold back then had very used police car engines or worse.:picard1::picard1::picard1:

i was told that when klem poped the mold off zonker -double vision it was a single and the cut outs were on the mold, as for klem and his engines YOU ALWAYS GOT A FRESH COAT OF PAINT

----There are at least two single Aeros local to Ironhead, H20, and I that haven't been wet in at least 10 years. One of them probably more like 20. Don't know if the two owners are afraid to dunk them or what......Bill S

Right you are, Klem made a exact copies of the Double Vision, Zonker Mag. Any imperfection on it were left like that. No Cig here on OSO restored it with a all white paint job & one big single BBC. Mike sold it a few years ago, & I believe this Mag is still racing in New Zealand.

This Aero "magnum" is back on ebay, bidding is up to $9,300.00 and this guy still has not met a reserve? If I were him I'd take the 9 grand and run!
