One of my favorite Cigs. I'm also partial to keeping boats looking original, but I'm biased with 2 older boats. I'm that way with older cars, too. There's something sweet about a classic original.

Jimmy owned it for 16 years he bought it out of Ft. Lauderdale. With the name on it. It's been named Fox Hunter from day one

What's the deal with the older "Kevlar" edition is it built lighter or just something they tried but didn't change the ride much?
|
Also what year is that boat? What years did they make the SE Kevlar editions?
|
Fox Hunter is an 1986. The Kevlar boats were advertised as 1000lbs lighter than the Fiberglass. They are every bit of that. They ride a lot higher out of the water and feel lighter also while driving. Kevlar is supposed,to be stronger so they went with a lighter layup and less structural bracing then the glass boats. If you hit your hand on the side of a Kevlar Cig it will flex more then the glass boats.
