Hi all,

I thought it only fitting that this post come 10 years to the day of joining Off Shore Only. After a very long wait and search I have acquired a 1986 38 Scarab KV Miami Vice Edition with matching 1986 Myco Vice Edition trailer. There were just over 100 38KV's made. Of those, 40 odd Miami Vice boats, 6 to Universal for the show and Don Johnson, leaving only 33 for the rest of us.The Club has identified about 22 Vice Editions exist total, and at the moment only 8 are verified sea worthy. An all original 2 owner, fresh water boat with 424 original hours, I will enjoy tending to the details to keep this classic boat in show condition.

Any local help or advice in SW Florida would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tony

There is one in my area not original, but how can you tell if it is or not a vice edition?

Rick Browns old boat! Boat should be in great shape, not used much and fresh water. Good find

That's rick's boat? I just talked to him a couple weeks ago, he never mentioned anything about selling it. That boat and another are responsible for my love of go-fast boats. I used to climb out to the end of the rock pile at the boat club to watch them leave. I'm 32, and he's owned that boat at least 25 years.

Enjoy!!!

Awesome find. I am sure even the huge skaters, cigs, etc. will give you a tip-of-the-hat with that beauty. Congrats!

Thank you very much !

Yes It was Rick Brown's boat for 25 years, he bought it in 1990 from the original owner.

Rick and I got together about 2 weeks ago through the Club Facebook page:
