Default Old Bertram Race Boat

I have a friend that has an old Bertram Race boat that he may sell to me.
I have not seen it move in the last 20 years. I believe he said it was a 25 or 27 foot Baron.
It has twin inboards (Holman Moody motors). I believe they are 351 ci.

I will try to get some pics, but does anyone know anything about the value of the earlier Bertram's?
Anything I should look for? I would be getting it for almost nothing, so I am not too concerned with the risk of purchase.

Thanks

Value depends on condition and completeness.

Holman and moody stuff is way up there on the "cool" scale!

I drive by "The Bike Shop" everyday...I take the Winchester exit off the 15N everyday also. Temecula is nice, but boating out here sucks...I need to move.

A little over a year. I was starting up a new Injection Molding plant in DeForest, just north of Madtown. Lots of fun memories.
This Bertram would be a fun project and would be a blast on Lake Michigan. I was reading in another post that the inboard Barons were not too plentiful.
I hope this thing is not too far gone.

Default 28 Baron

I think they made 11 of this model 28 Baron's
The volvo drive boats had the ford engines. 351's
The Merc outdrive boats had 6 cyl Chevy's

I had one years ago that a guy put 440 cubic inch Olds V-8's in it. With Mercs
