29 mirage 9M-ss

I have a 1979 29 mirage that I'm thinking of selling at the end of the boating season and want to see what kind of interest is out there. It was previously owned by mark ( h20 boater) and has been redone. It was a fresh water boat all of its life up until 2011. Garaged when stored for winter and lift stored during summer.

very nice rig

Fantastic boat and I like the colors too. Definitely an opportunity for somebody to acquire one of the nicest there is.

cig28 07-01-2017 06:25 AM

I would honestly have to say other than the mirage wolverine that Joe owns my boat is one of the nicest out there. Remember there is a limited number out there that are in usable condition or redone. I'm surprised I didn't get more hits on it.

AB From Windsor 07-01-2017 09:29 PM

What are you thinking about asking for your boat?

cig28 07-02-2017 01:26 PM

I haven't come up with a # yet but I'm wondering what people think it's worth, I have lot blood and sweat into it

woz58 07-09-2017 10:40 AM

Nice looking boat! I could be interested in buying my old boat back from 20 years ago!

h2oboater 07-10-2017 09:22 AM

Woz 58 it was a great boat when I bought it from you but Jim's improvements have taken to a new level. Jim really has put a lot blood and sweat & $$$$$ into it. It would be great to see this Mirage back on Lake St Clair....

cig28 07-12-2017 06:51 PM

Can you guys tell me the name that was on the boat before it was called SWITCH

h2oboater 07-14-2017 07:16 AM

Jim when the SWITCH name was removed you could see that there was another name but I could never make it out. Here is a pic of it when it was for sale in Powerboat in the early 80's still without a name on the sides so that other name it had must have been on it some time in the mid to late 80's ???

justbassing 07-14-2017 09:25 AM

Mark you amaze me with the photos you pull out of thin air

cig28 07-14-2017 07:15 PM

That is a great ad, 30k back then was a lot of money and I've been trying to figure out the first name on the boat for a while now and just can't get it . The letters are quite large and kind of bubbly

cig28 07-14-2017 07:18 PM

Do you think it was still a new boat in that ad ??

woz58 07-16-2017 07:11 AM

I think the name was BUCKS BANDIT. A gentleman that lived in Grosse Isle Mi. owned it at one time.

h2oboater 07-16-2017 01:25 PM

BUCKS BANDIT. That makes sense as I thought it's original name was buck something//

cig28 07-17-2017 07:15 AM

Great, not that it matters but it is interesting to me to finally know the name. Every year when I compounded and wax it I could see it under the name switch and couldn't figure it out. Thanks again guys.

cig28 07-17-2017 07:34 AM

Woz58, if I do decide to sell it would you like me to let you know before advertising it. Being you owned it once before and it sounded like you may have some interest you can have first shot at it. I would love to see it go back to Lake St Clair where it belongs. I'm decided not to use it this year due to buying a new center console so it's in my garage protect where it stays all the time when its not in use.

No the phone # in the ad is different than Pete's Wolverine Mirage sales ad.

Sorry for intruding but I need help

I have not had any luck finding an over the bow cable and hardware setup that comes with the MIRAGE 9M-SS

Having said that, I wonder if someone knows where it can be purchased or built or the name of it

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

I had to build mine from scratch. Most of the parts are still available except the top caps of the stanchions. The stanchion bases are 30 degree. I’ll post some pictures of a original one and the one I made.
