So I got this boat, the engines have been rebuilt 20 years ago, never been started. I pulled the engines to find out what size can it has to have an engine tune made for it and clean things up before I try to start it. To my amazement the 502’s, internally, look as good as if they were just rebuilt. Going back together soon all I need to do is replace some outdrive seals and get some exhaust manifolds.

not sure about mpi. its a fuel injected gen v 502 with a mefi-1 module. The person years ago who rebuilt the engines screwed us and a bunch of other customers ans skipped town. he said it needs to be re tuned because of the lager cam he put in it...

Where are you located, there are some good tuners on here. custom tune will need to be done on a dyno or in the boat to get it right,. you sure its a mefi 1 ? cables will plug into the ends of the ecu...I see the boats from Mass
