Wellcraft Nova 24 - searching for 2
Hello everyone, there are 2 of us looking to acquire 1970’s era Wellcraft Nova 24’s. We are looking for a couple of projects when completed we’ll be the only 2 people on our lakes (The Muskoka’s) with these beauties. We are excited about the journey but need some help sourcing the boats.
Not sure if you think Allan Brownie would have any insight or ability to source. Not sure if there was a way to connect with current Nova24 owners that might want to sell - we could provide fair value for all their hard work.
I’m not on Facebook but could set up an account for the project and sourcing.
I have spent some time on this site and everyone seems to have a wealth of knowledge. Hoping someone can lead us in the right direction.
Thanks for all your help.
Marc

I have seen them on Kijiji over the past couple of years
I have a 78 Formula 233 sitting on a trailer, lots of glass work done. Bare hull. set up for twin small blocks. Only a couple hours from you
I think a guy up river from me at Sauble has one he was trying to sell last year. I'll ask on the weekend

One timeless hull design that performs. Thanks 'Brownie'!

One on the U.S. 'Left Coast'.
For inspiration. My friend Mike bought a 1979 Wellcraft 250 XL 5 years ago for $2k. It was stored outside for a year here in SoCal, and he paid the outstanding year of storage back fees. The SBC with a Holley carb. started right up. He sanded all the teak trim, (there's a lot of it), new upholstery installed and re-wired her. Original gel buffed out perfectly and she a great running boat with an elegant classic look. His young grandkiddos are already arguing about who's going to be the caretaker one day.

Nothing to add here but,,,,, my very first boat was a Nova 23XL with a single small block. Loved that thing. Looked a bit geeky, had a full walk around camper canvas added the second year I had it. Great boat.
