Coolest trailerable classic
When i say trailerable. I mean behind your moms (Milf) normal car Range Rover or Cayenne not a F truck or ram etc.
I want all the classic OG swagger. Looks, cool factor? Old novas, Fino? Magnum no idea just my perception ? |
I think the magnum 27 is hard to beat for an old school hot rod in that size range.
Finos are certainly the best looking “classic” offshore boat in my opinion, but I like the Bertram 38 comps a lot also. I can tell you that you aren’t towing a Fino very far with a Porsche Cayenne! I haul mine (the lightest Fino built) with a Ram 3500, it’s 40’ long on the trailer and weighs 10000 wet, no way I’d try with a 1/2 ton |
Donzi sweet 16
or the Donzi Classic 18 would be my thoughts.... |
Donzi 21GT
|
|
Not a "Cigeratte", "The CIgarette".
|
+1 on the 18’ Donzi’s. 74’ X-18 behind a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 6 cylinder and didn’t even know it was back there.

Long before Powerplay\Powerquest was even a glimmer in Kevin Hirdes and Todd Kamps eyes.

I second the Donzi Classics, 16, 18 or 22. Also the Cig 20. You could also go old school with a flat bottom Vee drive or jet boat.

Jet-setter on trailer with company.

I second Oldschools's 20 cig. Doesn't get much better than these boats.

Mostly in Grand Haven and up and down the Grand River. I had a Powerquest Revenge too when I picked it up a couple of years ago. I just restored the original Integrity trailer last year, and the guy before me replaced the stringers and floor. Still get a lot of thumbs up with a lot of people here knowing this is how Powerquest started.
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...e5e4087d9.jpeg He still has my old blue Baron, I have another Baron but it needs a full restore someday. The 185s maiden voyage November 1977 on Reeds lake, and a pic of the designer working on the plug. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...34f710a4b6.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4668098e1c.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0a88180ac5.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ff1d7d778f.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...1a02b3c9ad.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...2d8eef3de7.jpg |
Very cool history of this hull. I heard Todd sold his Cigarette, at least he still has the Baron. Todd Kamps wanted to buy the old Powerquest signs I found from a guy by Hardy Pond. They're all that's left from the old Plant on 112th in Holland.

I think I saw you in the channel when I was walking the pier in GH, you had a boatload of people in it. I usually hang at Todds aka Baronmarines cottage across from the old CG station.

I know, definitely not the coolest but had to post after seeing the late 80's Benz; these are both 1988 models.

Yrs ago I was at the local pond when a guy pulled his ski boat to the ramp behind his garbage truck!
Told him it was the funniest thing I’d seen. |
Here is my 1998 Velocity 280. The only thing original is the hull, seat frame work, crank shaft and most of the electrical.

This boat was the first it is a 1963 Formula 233 with a single 409 cu in with twin 4 barrel carbs on it. The second boat was a 27 foot Magnum with twin sterndrives and Mercruiser engines The third boat and most famous was the 32 foot Cary that Don won his second World Championship with in 1969. Engines were full stagger and drives were Speedmaster# 2 |

For me, it would be a jet boat.
I truly regret selling this one. 1973 Southwind with a 468 BBC. https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ad&oe=60670F98 |
