Anyone have experience using current day trim tab controls with older models?
I am running Bennett Trim tabs with a joystick style control switch -- back plate is shaped somewhat like a triangle. I believe this style switch was common in the 80s and 90s. My tabs work fine but the switch has become brittle. I suspect its only a matter of time before I snap off of the stick!
As an alternative to replacing the entire system -- I see the new Bennett control switch is quite fancy with LED lighting and "All Up" - "All Down" buttons ... I like it but at +$300 I want to be certain I will be able to use the switch.

The ones with the LED's can be installed and require new hinges if you want to see the LED bars work. I installed autotrim pro with my older tabs, after busting one of my hinges on my lift (need auto retract). I removed my switches and installed the new display, just had to cut a bigger hole
Does look like Bennett still makes the joystick control
