50 60k, ok, my opinion,

i think that boat is pretty cool, the canopy-deck-blend looks nice, bonus that shes bonded together @ the rubrail 20k on the trailer, without structural or cosmetic work, not bad.

seats for a thou, see if you like them and check options boat may be set up for the suspension seats he has tho.

engine for 7, ok hold on negotiate a health check and verify the internals and tolerances.

(personally, i got lucky, 496 mag ho smartcraft, my engine scanned good plus low hrs over 3500 rpm, even lower over 4500 rpm, super clean super reliable, all stock, absolutely love it, around the same amount from a good rep oso member and nice guy, bet he misses it, no offense)

Say it cost a grand for that health check, stipulate buying the engine if it checks out regardless wether you purchase the boat or not. He's either gonna yea or nay it, but you have to ask.

29 at this point,

exhaust 5

steering 4

kplanes 1500

mounts & angles 5-600

wiring, switches assorted nuts bolts washers screws hose clamps cushion clamps heat shrink loom wire terminals fuses and the like, a grand

gauges throttle shifter indicators, cables, thru hulls, a thou, unless you go overboard on big name stuff (don't waste the dough, my 2 cents)

42 at this point, a blower, a solid drive and incidentals you come in that budget.

wallin has or had a 24x7 pantera, extensive bottom work but a stock 496 mag ho got him 89

the other guy, with the 27 excalibur 40hawk or txhawk i think his screen name is, w/ 525 clone he was up there too

long way from 100 but look at it this way there may be bottom work needed to get that 100, rumor has it bottom work starts at 1k a foot so the last 8 feet, 8 grand, could be more now, that price was 4-5 yrs ago.

wilson lowers from my understanding does not blue print bravo lowers,

my opinion, both the bottom and lower work would also be neccessary for a driveable 100, don't forget the initial dead balls on set up of the boat/engine/drive and balance combo for that hundred
ergo the little funny about a life insurance policy.

there is a brand name that sells svl hulls w/o the canopy, pretty popular, but those hulls or an svl canopy boat i don't think are at that price point, very rare an svl hull pops up for sale, i think they stay in the group.

Speed that boat would run and still lean on the reliable side of things, bet it would be big fun and certainly unique.

Thanks for the input!
In talks back and forth with the current owner he said 20k on trailer with the seats, the boat already has gauges and a few other things he says. But I'm sure you are correct there is lot of extras that will be needed... cables bolts hoses this that and the other thing.

I personally wasn't going to buy the drive or engine. due to the unknown
Crazy enough a friend of a friend has a Merc 1075 for a extremely appealing price with 140hrs, was thinking that would make an astonishing fit in this boat. or I would try and find a 525 EFI as I hear they are bulletproof.... But don't quote me on that.

So your thinking the best and safest top speed would be 80ish area? with this hull and Design etc.

I do have the HIN for boat what would be the best way to get more info on this old race machine?
