Just learned that no 5 on the list is actually a CRT38, hull #028 and not a CRT37, it was originally built for Bob Gallo who also raced the Apache 41 Meanstreak with Bob Saccenti. Current owner has had her since 1991.

The red Danger Zone is a 1986 confirmed with Carlos C Capilla who ordered her
The blue Danger Zone is a 1987 also confirmed with Carlos.

This is the first I've heard that Satin Doll was originally built as El Boss. I rode on the boat many times, as my best friend was the original owner of Satin Doll. I'll check with him and see if he knows anything about the boat being repurposed. Satin Doll had a full cabin, a full cockpit with back seat, teak floor and dash, and was powered by Kinsler staggered fuel injected 496's running on AV fuel. If the boat was originally the first EL Boss, they only would have been able to use the original hull, unless they sectioned and cut the original deck. I'll have to try to dig up the pictures, but as I recall, Satin Doll had a front deck similar to a 36 wide body and did not have the two long 'bumps' in the deck that AJAC Hawk and others had. She had aluminum engine hatches and did have 37.6 X on either side of the boat just fore of the transom.

By the way, if any 37.6 X boats or hulls come up for sale, I'm interested.
