I have asked on another forum but didn’t get an answer. I’m trying to figure out some details of the layout I want to do.
The boat I have has been stripped down to pretty much the hull, the front cabin is still there. Hull is solid with no damage.
previous owner cut the deck out, and left a 6” lip on either side.
my thoughts were to completely redo the stringers, mainly because the layout of the stringers was built for twin inboards mounted midship, and to bring the deck height up a couple inches in front to allow for better drainage, and tab the new deck to the hull sides and epoxy to stringers.
Is that the best/correct way to do this?
that option seems better/nicer than simply laying the new deck on top of the lip that was left
thanks for any info.
