Default Jack Stuteville

Hi everyone, I've been doing some browsing on Google and saw that at least a handful of people knew the man in the title.

That man was my grandfather, and for those who may not yet have heard, he passed away after a prolonged battle with lung cancer took him earlier this week on Monday.

Truth be told I never had the opportunity to meet the man more than twice in my life or exchange more than three sentences with him, however I was hoping that maybe anyone here who might have known the man better could maybe tell me a bit more about him and his career and life?

I'm really not sure where to begin and don't know the first thing about offshore boat racing.

Thank you for the well wishes. I guess he was a throttleman that helped Mr. Vincenzo Balestrieri win a championship some decades ago? I followed an image link on google, I'd post it but the site needs me to make 10 posts or something before I can share links here.

I'll bear that in mind.

Treasure all the stories surrounding his no doubt action-filled life. Here is just one of many articles from his racing days. May he rest in peace.

2-page article in Sports Illustrated November 1974.

Love this photo from the memorial tribute page to him; Mr. Jack C. Stuteville.
