In July of 07, I was in a similar situation as you. I had recently purchased a '99 253 from Minnesota and had it shipped to me in NC.

My previous boat was an '81 Formula (hence my screen name) and came here often to get info on it.

I coud not find a forum, even here on OSO for Cobalt so I built one. Be sure to drop by cobaltboatsforum.com when you can.

We're up to 120 or so people and owners from about every model have checked in. Business cards are also available (free) and the site is n/c to register & use.

Glad to see this forum in here. Don't tell anyone, but I think my boat shopping recently took a different turn toward a Cobalt 252. I thought family friendly bowrider were supposed to be less expensive then high performance boats. Not in the case of Cobalt. But the build quality!! Oh, the build quality! It puts almost everything I'd ridden on to shame (by a long shot).

Bimmer,

I found early on that one cannot help but consider a Cobalt if there's one they make to fit your needs. Come on over to the the Cobaltboatsforum when you get serious about it or have questions.
