Question: 1996 Cobalt 232 w/ base 7.4/454 engine and Bravo 1
Question: 1996 Cobalt 232 w/ base 7.4/454 engine and Bravo 1 outdrive, what is real world top speed? thanks
I'm looking at this boat which is in very good condition and would like the +/- opinions. How does the invocative transom/hull design effect the boat running?
Please add anything else such as build quality, props used, etc,

Lots of prejudice in my message. We have a 2000 Cobalt 226 with a 7.4 MPI with a Bravo 3. 26P Silent Choice exhaust. Cool air and water with a little chop 63 mph on GPS. That was with a 1/2 tank of fuel. Cobalt boats starting I believe in the 1980’s are 100% composite. That mean no rot anywhere. Our boat is 18 years old has 560 hours and I have yet tighten one bolt or screw. They are rock solid. Go to the cobalt website and down load the brochure on you boat. It is 100 % true.
If you like the boat make sure you have a survey done. It is worth every penny as you may know boats cost lots of money and it could end up costing you more with unforeseen repairs
