Looks great, keep the pics coming.

NOMOGOFAST 12-02-2008 03:40 PM

??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Is your boat the one that had the triple honda's on it at the factory?

boating37 12-02-2008 05:28 PM

Yes it was, it had a t-top on it, I traded the t-top for the arch.

NOMOGOFAST 12-03-2008 02:28 PM

boating 37

I thought so..... I looked at that boat before I bought mine. I was afraid of the Honda power. I know the previous owner and he said it handled like __it. It was his third Concept. I also like the arch better than the t-top. Good luck, it is a beautiful boat.

wananewboat 12-03-2008 04:34 PM

Would the handling be that much different from the Honda to the Merc?

boating37 12-03-2008 05:19 PM

Good question Makes me wonder now.

Why would it handle like --it with the Hondas to heavy? I guess I have to look into that.

Have you put the tripple"s on it yet? I am looking at getting an 36ft. I was really thinking about getting the tripple's instead of the twins.

NOMOGOFAST 01-06-2009 01:23 PM

trips

Go with triple two strokes for sure, not four strokes. Verados weigh to much for the length and weight of the 36. It ends up being about a 500lb difference.

joeya 01-06-2009 04:03 PM

CBWaterboy, where will you be boating at?

I owned his first 33/36 Concept, I bought it from him it was behind his house in Hollywood/ Lauderdale area..... He had a 36 with twin Merc's at his house in Virginia and then he built that one with trip Hondas.

Spicy 01-06-2009 06:02 PM

Leopajm gave you this advice in August...... Coming from a man that has had a triple 36!!!!!

Was thinking about twin 350 sci vs the tripple 300xs.

MOTION35 01-07-2009 03:31 AM

I would not go with tripple xs I was so unhappy i went back to my old motors and was happy again... triplle 250 efi.
The 350'S are heavy .
My brothers has 08 concept twin 300 v 67 gps.

the 300xs aren't what they claim to be. ilost speed compare to my 250's...

just my opinion.. tripple the headache and hard to prop..:party-smiley-004::party-smiley-004::party-smiley-004:

Got any numbers you care to share? Not calling your card by any means; interested in your situation and how you came your decision to revert back to original power.

My 04 30 w/225EFI's is no where near the boat my 07 326 w/300XS's is and cost about 1/3-1/2 as much to run

Honda's were 225HP 4 strokes- not the "kind" of power a Concept hull is for IMHO.

Last forever on a "other than a performance CC" CC or a true "fishing boat".

Not enough "umph" if that makes sense

boating37 03-07-2009 07:10 PM

Well we will all see what the 36 will do with 3 300xs very soon.It was taken off boattrader today, not for sale anymore, :and the engines will be picked up in 2 weeks. So give it a month and it should be all done.We can't wait.......:party-smiley-048:

wananewboat 03-08-2009 10:15 AM

Best of luck, post some pics during the rigging.

boating37 03-31-2009 10:12 PM

Nope they were turning the engines over and the kill switch was off and it messed up the computers. So they had to be sent back to Mercury to reprogram.Mercury said it was a flaw in them.Never herd of something like that before.

Huh? I have 07 300XS's.

I started drinking at the 1st stop of a poker run so jumped on someone elses ride. The next day I came to get my boat and it wouldn't start. I tried starting fluid, ran extendtion cords to the battery charger and a few other things over the next 3-4 hours. Nadda. Mechanic comes down, flipped the kill switch up and starts right up. That was about 70 hours ago and I haven't had any computer issues?

Sorry to hear and hope you get on the water sooner than later. When do you expect to splash?

boating37 05-10-2009 08:47 PM

Just waiting for Mercury to send the computers back I hope they have them to me this week.

boating37 05-23-2009 03:45 PM

Well we just got back from running the boat, tell you one thing you better hold on she jumps up and goes. Those 300xs sound great when taking off.Right now running 26 bravo 1's but need to jump up to 28's the 26's are to small. And the center engine needs to be lifted 2 holes. But love it......And was scared about the steering, but that was all fixed and you can steer this boat with 1 finger.Turned out great....:party-smiley-048:

DENNYB 05-25-2009 09:15 AM

love those 300xs's

boating37...you must be in Tampa? I saw your boat over at Hula Bay on Sunday....really really nice looking! On the windshield there was a graphic for a Sushi resturant I believe...do you have a Sushi place in Tampa?

I was in a all white 38 Fountain with trip Verado's.
