Hello all,
I'm going to be looking at purchasing a CC this year and like the Concept brand. Will be looking for 30-32 and prefer bigger power. It looks like in 2010 they added a stepped hull. Is that correct? I assume that helped top end speed? I still have a speed addiction so want a boat that will run 70s to 80. Any hull or other known issues with this brand? Also how is the ride in the slop? I live in Missouri and some of the lakes here (LOTO) get pretty nasty. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I visited Concept three years ago while also in the market for a performance CC. Anay Santos and Luis Avila (The President) couldn't have been more gracious and Luis gave me a personal tour of the large facility. They went to a stepped hull to get rid of a tendency to porpoise in the older straight hulls. I will tell you that their rigging and smart layout is as good as any company plus no wood in the boats. You should take a flight out to check them out. Another huge help with looking for a new/used Concept was Susan Patterson, also with Concept. She knows more about these boats then just about anybody. Good luck and you'll never regret going to a performance CC with twin Verados over a traditional closed deck layout.

Pretty sure the step on the 30 started in 2008. I have a 2017 with 300 Verados and it runs in the low 70's. The boat rides great in the 50-60 MPH range, can't say it rides great at 70. The ride in the rough is OK.
Coming from closed deck I/O boats, I love the boat, it's just so much more practical for me. I can have 8 people in the boat very comfortably, walk around the boat, the shade of the bimini is nice, walk-thru transom, OB's are great, BBQ grill, fresh water shower, etc.
