Default Be careful at Concept

Be warned if anyone is buying a new boat or having the factory paint their boat... Richy Rich the hack is there painting now... he totally jacked up 5 Cigarettes and got fired from Renegade for crap work... he and his wife did such a horrible job on my Tiger that the paint and the clear were peeling before it ever saw water...

I saw a lot of Richy's posts on facebook lately showing off his paint jobs. I remember your thread about your boat and didn't make the connection that it was the same guy. Thanks for the head up, hopefully Concept will keep a close eye on him.

I was at concept this past week. Richie does not do any prep work he just paints an clears. So i can say i dont think any soon to be concept owners should have to worry. We all know every paint job is in the prep. Just saying, Concept has a very nice operation.

That does not seem like a very good production process. I would think at a minimum the guy would heavily supervise the prep and when all done should go over it with a fine tooth comb before painting. Then again I'm not in the boat manufacturing business so......
But I do know how to hire someone for a job that will take responsibility for the entire process.
