We had a pretty good weekend ,A bunch of us rafted up just north of haddam meadows and spent the night last night.

Thanks To Christian Gott, who kind of coordinated the whole thing last minute, His freinds were all very cool and we all had a great night hanging out on the river. Moses and the boys made an apperance and hung out for a while in his fasttech too.

We had a trio of forumlas, Two sutphens and a big cruiser thrown in for good measure.

There were also a bunch of other people in thier own groups rafted up and hanging out.

There were quite a few performance boats tearing up the river late night too like 2 am. Guess everyone chose the river over the 8 FTers that were out in the sound.
it was nice meeting you jeff...we had a great time on the river. for labor day (monday), we ended up going to hamburg cove and rafting up with a few people. it was packed with boats.

all in all we had a good weekend minus not being able to hit claudios or pavilion.

I saw hamburg on monday it was ridiculous.

I cant believe how many cruisers were packed in there. I got to the launch to pull the sutphen out at about 12 and it took me until 1PM just to get to the dock.

Loaded with inconsiderate and or stupid people who have no boating etiquette at all. One guy was blocked in with his truck and trailer across the street by cars with no trailers on them.
It took him 2 hrs to get his truck out!

The CT river run isnt a Scream and fly event it just happens to be that's where rich publicizes it.

after speaking with him about how its run , Its really a NON EVENT. Its not a run at all just a group of guys who get together on thier own. The charity end of it is a seperate deal.

Rich Owen is a member of the CPBA and we are proud of what he does with this NON EVENT.LOL

Hopefully all the CPBA guys will ALL turn out for it to support our brother.

Ahh man how could I forget randys scarab. I was on it most of the time.

Randys a great guy and I know I have met him somewhere before. My wife even said I knew him from somewhere we just can place it. Even his name was very familiar to both of us.

I have cousins down that way, and I also used to sell allot of cars down that way and deliver them to people.

He certainly took good care of us, we would have been screwed without the extra blankets, it got cold late night!
The extra beers were a huge plus too.LOL

I hope I didnt drink ALL your beer and his?

I hope the boys enjoyed the ride in the sutphen, its too bad you didnt get your shoirts or the ride.

next time for sure, but you already know how sutphens run.

ricks boat was nice too, he really should realize how nasty of a ride that boat can be. Sure its old school but its classic formula that put them on the map! without that model there probably wouldnt be a formula line today. It was funny that we knew eachother I have allot of family and we are all over like the perverbial horse SH&^.LOL
