Get together
 

I am starting up a new thread to see when we will be able to get a winter get together. I know I put out 2/12 but is seems a few can not make it and of course our lovable Prez will not be able to make it that day. I also know that now we are coming in to school vacation time so some may be going away. Should we shoot for it still being in Feb or just go to March?

And can we try to keep this one on track.

Pres. is a homo we dont need him. As for the date im in for anytime i can make it with out any problem.

it literally took 2 posts to get off topic...thats really sad guys. im being serious...im available pretty much anytime in feb or march. around valentines day and superbowl time it might be difficult.

OK we can knock out the 12th seeing some of you will be doing v-day on Saturday and as we know a happy wife/girlfriend is a happy life and I don't think a romantic night with a bunch of drunken boaters is what they were thinking. So in staying with getting together as soon as possible I am voting for 2/19.

The band at Rookie's sucks on that 2/19... I vote for pushing it back to the 2/26. "Kick" isn't the greatest, but they're pretty good, draw an okay crowd, and Jeff likes dancing to their music.

2/19 is also Presidents weekend. A lot of people have Monday off and go away.

Scots right. "KICK" is a fun band. I vote 2/26......

2/26 is probably my best bet for me making anything.

I'll probably be snowmobiling up north on 2/26 unless the snow melts, which seems unlikely right now.

It will likely be a little crowded and loud for an idle GTG, but I'm sure it will be a good time. Looking forward to seeing everyone (other than Jeff)! :D

Finally we have a date and place. Do we want to try to meet earlier then 9 so we can have a little time to meet. I know a bunch of you know each other but there are a few that do not. Also we can get a little space of our own.

I agree. By 9 PM it may be alittle busy to have everyone meet and talk for awhile somewhat peacfully. I say 7 PM, that way, we may get in w/o paying any sort of cover charge( any extra $ spent, will come out of Scots boat fund...not good). Sometimes they charge a cover after a certain time. 7 to 9 SHOULD be pretty quiet. Bands usually come on between 9 and 10, thats when it gets louder...........just my thought. Scot said he can kick Jeffs azz in a game of pool...:grinser010:...we'll see!

Pool? I'm no pro and haven't touched a cue in years, but I'd still bet Jeff wouldn't beat me in the best two out of three games! Then again, Jeff wont be there before midnight anyway so we probably wont find out. :drink:

Um, Im tryin to save them for the boating season. You take something as valuable as those glasses to a bar, they may end up missing! We dont want that............:drink:

They do look like they'll offer outstanding eye protection on the water. ;)

I shoot a bit of stick if anyone wants to play. As for Jeff. He will probably be better then all of us since he has one stuck up his a$$ all the time who knows how much he plays
