The website states with pod or without pod. But my question is about deadrise. I am plenty familiar with V's, but lack experience with cats.
The DCB website states 14.5 degrees at the transom, while all the other long established cat builders are 17-18 degrees for the ocean going cats. Is the DCB a variable deadrise, perhaps with a higher number of degree forward and fewer degrees at the transom to perform a bit like a pad, like used on some hulls (usually lake boat) , but yet slice the water a bit better upfront with a higher degree. With everyone else using 17-18 degrees for the ocean going cats. Will the DCB still be a lake boat even without the pad. How harsh a ride will the DCB be with only 14.5 degrees, will it pound the hell out of ya in 2'-4' seas. |
I think theres a post that it wont be ready for DS. I believe it said not until june but dont quote me on it. Ill try to find the thread.
