What temp. is to hot for painting. It have been in the upper 90's around here and was wonder if I should wait for it to cool down a bit.

Like dave said use the slowest redecer you can get. I do know that the newer Imron doesn't flow out as well as the older stuff did, even in ideal conditions. The larger area you are painting the more problem you are going to have, if the reducer is not hot enough.

Looks like I have screwed up then. The paint store sold me the paint and activator. The can didn't say anything about a reducer. All is said was 3 parts paint and one part activator. I found a old can of Imorn which I used on the trailer and it mention using a reducer

Depending how old your old can of imron was, it is probably not the same. I think the new stuff does just call for the paint and activator. However if I was determined to use it I would add a little bit of a good grade reducer. (a high temp reducer)
have already painted it ? ,what are you painting? how big of area?

Painted the transom of the boat. I still have plenty of paint left over. Guess I will see how if looks after I color sand it and buff it. I have only used imrom a couple of times and the other two times it came out great. This has more orange peel than I would have liked.

I think the orange peel is probably due to the new style imron
vs. the older stuff. If you spray it again you might want to try
adding a little reducer.
