I am doing some work in the bilge and the guy doing the glass work said he can just gelcoat it all ? Should I do that or go the paint route ? m

Awlgrip works great in bilge ,expensive but dries hard cleans up well and last a long time.Gel coat works ok but you need to add wax for it to hardend or it will remain tacky for along time

Vinylester gelcoat or urethane paint only.regular gelcoat will absorb moisture.

I've used "EasyPoxy" from Pettit numerous times in the bilge area and it works perfectly, is very durable and best of all not very expensive.

You can't find the "old" Imron but AwlGrip is great! Gel is heavier, not as durable and doesn't shine as well!
