If the color is in the gel and you have some burned spots from the buffing, that can usually be sanded out and rebuffed. I don't know if you have other issues with the job but thought I would share that info with you. If that is all it is it may save you a new paint job.

We repainted our boat two winters ago. If you have a lot of graphics or colors (we have 7 different colors and flames on the sides and bow) the price can really get up there.

I do understand after painting the boat with my husband (he's been painting cars for 15+ years) why the cost is so high. It isn't the material, it's all the labor, lines, masking, prep, etc. I thought that would never end. After it's painted, you have to wet sand the paint (at least we did), cleaner wax the boat, wax the boat....it goes on and on and on.

We're thrilled with how the boat turned out and did some other things at the same time (added a wind fairing & got rid of the windshield, added vents to the back that are incorporated in the boat), but it was a long winter and a lot of work.

It can replicate all the graphics, pinstripe, and even do some airbrush work if you want to change up the paint a little bit. I have a corporate job, but my passion is paint. I think it will be hard to get an estimate without someone personally inspecting it now. It's the prep work that cost so much. I tried to get a ballpark figure before with no results. I ended up painting one myself.
