Gouges on the hull bottom

If I am not worried about matching the color what do I use to fill in some gouges on the bottom of the boat?

A gelcoat repair kit..

Otherwise epoxy repair kits could be used, but they can create adhesion problems in some situations should you want to gel over it at some point & make it uniform...
