Well, Time has marched on and I am pretty excited of the progress. I thought I would write up some catch up posts. The boat has come along ways! Sooo, here I go...

These next set of images are after when we got back from our Honeymoon. It was around late August or so when I got back to it. I was a married man and on a mission to be boating in 2011.

I finished off the gas tank install and installed the fuel hoses. I also started continued filling the holes on the cockpit and getting the cockpit cut out leveled....

At this point I didn't realize how much time I would have filling in the outboard cut out / motor well... In the pictures bellow you can see I used a one of those Tile/grout trowels that have a triangled edge. I found this technique out of one of the west systems books. I will for warn you, DON'T DO IT! Its not a good idea... Remember that to bond epoxy to epoxy the surface needs to be rough. When I filled over it I did not sand any of the valleys..... This means there is NO BOND! I had a come to Jesus moment a few months later and decided to start all over....

Since the repair was epoxy and I new I was going to paint the boat, I used an epoxy based fairing compound Glass Dave suggested... Its called Silver Tip Quick Fair...

Also at this point since I was working with filler... I was trying to fill everything in site that needed it.. So there were tons of little projects going on at the same time... This included holes in the cockpit, spots on the transom, snap holes, and anything else I could find...

As the above was going on, I was also prepping holes to fill on the removable floor...

As October approached, I decided to take out all the gauges & wiring. I was going to fill in the holes so I could start out fresh new dash. First I had to take some pics to help aid in the new rigging. I am familiar with the ABYC color coding for wiring but just wanted to have it to reference....

Its funny how new hoses & hose clamps can make you happy.. It was good to see some fresh rigging in the boat and I couldnt help not taking a few pics....
