Scippy.....Well I have the as you say shoe box style hull as well. The inside of my hull was glassed already I'm guessing from the factory, so all I had to do is the outside. I took a grinder and grinded in between the hull and the deck. Then I crammed it full of Cabaseal to get everything nice and flush then laid a lair of mat over that to tie it all together. Then grind and shape it and put a good skim coat of alexseal gray fairing putty to smooth it all out nice and get it ready for primer. I will be bending the SS rub rail around the bow bend & corners .And im getting the flat half round from a local boat supply warehouse. Hope this helps you if not let me know.

+1 I would install it then take it off before paint. Boat really looks great. Can't wait to see how she runs. Artie

RF77,

Did the yard show any concern when the idea of flipping your boat was discussed?...... was a waiver dicussed "if things go horribly wrong?.......2 yards now completely rejected the notion of using there equipment to flip my boat.......I'll find a yard (plenty here in Jersey) and get it flipped eventually. The issue of Liability is no doubt a concern.
