This is a fantastic build. I really admire your skills and energy. After this, I hope you will be content to actually just use the boat!
On the motor hatch, what did you use for a core? I see you are going to paint the boat. I can't argue with that but is there any reason why you are not going to gelcoat it? Is gelcoat durable if applied as a coating as opposed to molded in during layup? Thanks and keep up the wonderful work. You will have a one off boat better than you could ever purchase. Dan |

Thank you so much, everyone's comments and support are what pushes me and keeps me going. I always wanted a outer limits, but I can't afford that so I just had to build one to their caliber myself. we used 1' davina seal foam core with vinyl ester reason On the motor hatch and it only weighs a woping 60lbs. i am painting the boat because of the multi color graphics you cant do that with gel and not have lines in it. And i Intend to use the sh1t out of my boat. i really want to start doing poker run and fun runs. i never felt like i had a nice enuff boat before to dock beside a MTI cig, or outer limits, so now i hope mine can hang with them and stand to there caliber and Beauty. and when it is done if im not working ill be on the boat:lolhit: thanks again.
thanx |
