Not 100% sure but I bet the origional colors are paint? If so a weekend with the right sand paper and a DA and you could have it back to white, now your at liberty to do what you want!

Also do you plan to leave the boat in the water? If not then don't worry about the graphic being below the water, as long as you use some edge sealer on the graphic it will be fine below the water line!

I want from this:

502, I was following your thread - that wrap really transformed that boat! I would guess that you have a few thou wrapped up in it, which is a bargain compared to paint, and well worth it on a 30+ foot boat like that. Putting that kind of dough into what is essentially a $5K hull is debatable at best, however. I am going to be in the $500 ballpark for the vinyl. Baja has always put their graphics straight into the hull, so we are talking about a repaint if I want to completely change them.

I also agree, it will look better with out a logo. It is alot going on in them current designs you have, makes the boat look really short, maybe add a little bit to the length of them. Is the very bottom line gel or just a stripe? I would remove that also, clean the overall scheme up. Just my op but some times less is more.

What about taping over the lower stripe too so it matches the new graphics?

+1 :)

Any local sign shop should be able to cut you a stripe to cover the existing. Actually raceline digital should be able to also if you help them with the dimensions!

Are you guys talking about just covering the lower stripe in white to try to hide it, or go with some other color? Yes, I agree that the boat would look better without that stripe, but it is gel just like the rest. I seriously doubt if we could get a color match that would keep it from standing out like a sore thumb. About the only choice would be to cover the entire side (i.e., full wrap) or do some other type of stripe right along the waterline over that stripe.

no way you will cover the stripe with white. I was thinking cover it with the same blue that your using in the new design, this atleast eliminates the issue of the origional stripe and the new graphics clashing!

if you can either paint or wrap over the 2 existing colors and then use longer flowing graphics will make the boat look longer...windshield has little to do with it, when you take your pics and look at original vs all the ones with graphics added, the boat looks much shorter and taller.....been doing this for over 25 years and stripes/graphics can change how a object is precieved....just like the old which line is longer when they were both the exact same length....

Yep, same blue as in new graphics. At least you won't have old blue on top, new blue, then old blue at water line. Or heck, cover all the blue with new. :)

Yep, hard to have new graphics incorporated with the old gel on your force :(

Not sure where your located at or budget but graphics are running $1100. That includes custom design (in house) install and name on back to match new colors.
