on second look i think that whole link/thread is fake . . . . theres no way any sailboater would ever spend that kind of coin on proper, current materials :D

So I actually found the collinite wax,but only had the liquid at west marine. It's actually looks a diluted version of the paste, chunky gel.

Should keep using this or should I go get the paste?

I did take the boat out this weekend and it didn't leave the normal scum line but probably any wax would have done that.

Wow, done well. Anyone, instead of on and off, on my old boat I use muriatic acid in a pump sprayer followed by a soft brush on a stick and rinse. Just don't breath the fumes!. Cheap and works great.

From everything I read and personal experience the collinite 885 fleet wax/paste wax out lasts there liquid waxes.

Your right, you would think the sail boaters would have an article on using recycled Birthday candles for waxing their boats!! :lolhit:

or harvesting carnuba from actual Copernica Prunifera Palm leaves . . . . mixing your own compound using discarded oil from their diesel engine thats never been run and Zebra mussel shells mulled in a pestle and mortar . . . . . lol
